Old-Fashioned Spaghetti

Ingredients:
1 pound spaghetti
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Directions:
Cook spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef, cooking until the onion is translucent.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, basil, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper.
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
Serve the sauce over the cooked spaghetti, topped with grated Parmesan cheese for a touch of richness.
